The ALLIANCE and Academy’s latest report from our Citizen Wellbeing Assembly held in June 2015 has now been published. The Assembly brought together over 250 people to consider how we might move from conversations about change in health and social care, to creating opportunities to transform the future of support and services. This document forms part of the ALLIANCE’s submission to the Scottish Government’s ongoing conversation on Creating a Healthier Scotland.
Citizen voice has an increasingly strong role to play in the future of health and social care. The Our Voice initiative, supported by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) among others, was launched earlier this year to support improvement and empower people to be equal partners in health and social care. Jo McFarlane’s latest poem for the Academy, titled Advocacy NOW!, explores why a stronger voice is needed and why we need to keep making ourselves heard.
This is my first ever blog. In my day job I have written papers and articles but when asked by the ALLIANCE to do this I suddenly realised this was my first proper blog.
Our latest podcast in the Being Human series comes from the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland’s Citizen Wellbeing Assembly 2015, held at Murrayfield Stadium on 25 June 2015.
