The Scottish Government recently announced its intention to hold a national conversation on the future of health and social care in Scotland. In doing so, it has set out a desire to “develop a longer term 10 to 15 year strategy that builds on, but goes beyond, the 2020 Vision for Health and Social Care”.
As well as being a chance to look ahead to the future, this national conversation provides a good opportunity to take stock, and reflect on where we are at the moment – to think about how we can build on the successes of, or address the problems of the way that we do things just now.
